श्रीरामं सामगानेन सन्तोषयितुमिच्छता । मया नारदशिक्षेयं याजुपेणापि लिख्यते ।। अथातस्स्वरशास्त्राणां सर्वेषां वेदनिश्चयम् । उच्चनीचविशेषाद्धि स्वरान्यत्वं प्रवर्तते ॥ आर्चिकं गाधिकञ्चैव खा (सा) मिकञ्च खरान्तरम् । कृतान्ते स्वरशास्त्राणां प्रयोक्तव्यं विशेषतः ॥
एकान्तरखर स्त्वृक्षु गाधासु व्यन्तरखरः । सामसु त्र्यन्तरं विद्यादेतावत्त्वरितो ऽन्तरम् ।।
