This work gives the order as well as the number of the various kinds of accants to be found in the Gāyatri prayer, and mentions the way in which these accents are to be indicated. Beginning: गायत्री स्वरनिर्णयः
उदात्तस्वरितश्चैव ह्यनुदात्त उदात्तकः । उदात्तस्वरितश्चैव प्रचयश्चानुदात्तकः ॥ उदात्तस्वरितश्चैव ह्यनुदात्त उदात्तकः ॥ स्वरितः प्रचयश्चैव प्रचयः प्रचयस्तदा। उदात्तश्चानुदात्तश्च उदात्तस्वरितस्तदा ॥ प्रचयश्चानुदात्तश्च उदात्तस्वरितस्तदा । उदात्तो वसुसङ्ख्यस्स्यात् बाणसङ्ख्योऽनुदात्तकः ।।
स्वरितो रससङ्ख्यस्स्यात् प्रचयो बाणसङ्ख्यकः । End:
यत्ते वयमिति द्वाभ्यां जुहुयादाहुतिद्वयम् । एकमेव स्वरूपेण परेण च निरूपितम् ।। इष्टप्राप्तिरनिष्टस्य निवृत्त(त्ति)श्चेति कथ्यते ।
