W. Whish, who has added the fol:owing note at the end :“ Here ends the Paribhasa, a portion of the Samavedam." C. W. WHISH, Caticut, 1825. A work relating to the chanting of the Samavēda. Beginning : सप्तस्वरैस्समस्तं यो जगदेतच्चराचरम् । सञ्जीवयति विश्वात्मा स नो विष्णुः प्रसीदतु ॥ अथ साम्नां स्वराणि प्रदर्श्यन्ते-आदौ क्रुष्टा प्रथमा। द्वितीयतृतीयचतुर्थ(E)मन्द्रा। अतिस्वार्याणां परिस्वार्याणां सु(स्व)रवतां साम्नां पर्वणां ज्ञापकत्वेन प्रथमं प्रथमस्वर(रो) ज्ञापकः ककारादित्वात्तान्वि(नि वि)लिख्यन्ते॥ End: फप्रमं हा इष्ठया गायता म फा प्रमं हा इष्ठा या गा म फै सामेन्ता विश्वाम् ओजसां पातिम् म फो इत्यादि नास्ति ॥ No. 1008. सिद्धान्तशिक्षा. This Sikşā is based upon other Sikşas and on Prātiśākhyas, and treats of Vēdic accents and phonetics. The author of the work is Catuşkula (Catuşkūla)-Srinivāta-Makhin.
