(xxviii) worship and his brave fight with the Mughal and Golkorda armies, but also for the work दुर्गोत्सवचन्द्रिका the authorship of which is generally ascribed to hirn. In all the manuscripts of दुर्गोत्सव चन्द्रिका so far discovered in Orissa except a solitary one, Ramachandra is stated to be its author in the second verse after para conq and the two concluding verses at the end of the work e.g., सकलागमसारतत्त्ववेत्ता सकलावानिव सर्वतोनवद्यः / तनुते भुदि रामचन्द्रदेवश्चरणाम्भोरुहभक्तिमम्बिकायाः। (Verse after मङ्गलाचरण) यावज्याबन्धभूयं विदधति मधुरा: कामु के शम्बरारे वित्तवैरिकण्ठे ल भवति भगवान् भूषण पन्नगेशः / यावत्तत्तल्पशायी विहरति रमया स्वैरमायानुगूढस्तावच्छीरामचन्द्रातिपतिचिता निर्मितिः प्रीतिदास्ताम ' (last but one verse) But an additional verse is found after the end of this work in a palmleaf manuscript acquired by Sri Paramananda Acharya, from the Ex-Mayurbhanja State at present a district of Orissa (65). This verse is historically important as it says that Sri Vardhana son of Rajaguru Kavidimdima Jivadera, who was the guru of king Ramachandra wrote this work at the hehest of the king. e.g., श्रीजीवकविडिण्डिमो नृपगुरुः षडदर्शनी देशिकस्तस्यायं तनयो नयोत्तमधन: श्रीवर्धनस्तादृशः। सोऽयं भूपुरुहूतरामनृपते रादेशतः शैलजा पूजाकमकृते सताभिमतां कांचित् कृति निर्ममे // Sri Jivadeva Kavidindima, the Rajagurn of Gajapati Prataparndra Deva of Orissa (1497-1535 A. D,) was a great Sanskrit poet of that age (66). His son who was better known at Bharatibhushana [65] It is now preserved in the Manuscriptlibrury of the Orissa State Museum (T/21) along with three other manuscripts of this work.
