"1 “This enjoyer, the individual soul results from the union of the atman (the Supreme Soul) with the organs, manas and the indriyas.” 2 "..after getting rid of the delusion of empirical reality, we recognize this infinitely small individual soul as identical with the infinitely great Supreme Soul.'3 Thus the inner Self of the individual is the all-pervading Brahman. The Chandogya Upanisad says-"..myself in the heart is that Brahman.". Thus as long as a person does not see the immortal Person, who dwells in all, as long as one does not realize the highest Self, he cannot be free from grief and rebirth. Thus the Katha Upanişad says -."There is only one ruler, the Self within all things, who makes the one form manifold. The wise who perceive him within their Self, to them belongs eternal happiness; not to others. The wise who perceive him within their Self, to them belongs enternal peace, not to others." “Every creature that knows him, is liberated, and obtains immortality.'6 "One who sees here many (nāneva-hra) he goes from death to death."7 It is said in the Mundaka Upanisad that “One who knows this Brahman, becomes Brahman only....he 1 Ibid. p. 258. ?
