such pure and elevating bhakti, and who does not sing in the praise of God leads an inauspicious and dejected life (sutaki)." Therefore, Narasimha entreats the God to give him bhakti and to lead him through, knowing that he is weak; he requests the Lord to remain with him, day and night. The devotees of Lord Krşņa do not seek after mukti, but they seek after everlasting bhakti or devotion to the Lord Krsņa. Narasimha expresses his desire not to seek after Vaikuntha and mukti but to have permanent residence in the Vịndāvana. He says that the Vịndāvana is more precious and beautiful, and there fore, he does not desire to go to the Vaikuntha. He does not want to dwell in the Vaikuntha where he has only to sit silently and to simply gaze and where he will not gain the joy of eating and drinking like the one in the Vịndāvana. Thus, Narasimha does not want to be a passive spectator and witness by overcoming all the sensuous experiences in the Vaikuntha but he wants to participate actively by eating and drinking in the pleasures of the Vịndāvana and live a more lively and happy life in the Vịndāvana more freely. What he seeks is the liberation from the three kinds of pain and transmigration, and positively he seeks the everlasting company of the Lord so that he can serve Him without interruption.
