________________ Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra www.kobatirth.org Acharya Shri Kailashsagarsuri Gyanmandir 672 Atmap and Moka pose a large poem on the lilā of Kțsņa by his Guru, Vallabhācārya and Sūradāsa did it accordingly. Sūrdasa wrote hundreds of verses on the life of Kļņa and his poetic genius is exhibited in every line of his poetic works like the Sūrasagara (FEATTT), Sahitya Lahari (entlarimet), etc. He most beautifully depicted the life of Kșsņa in all the phases of his life and gave a detailed account of his love-sport (StatCT) with His friends, the goaps and the milk-maids (gopis), with Radhika (राधिका), with his mother Yashoda.(यशोदा). Sūradāsa was a Vaisnava like Tulasidasa and he had derived inspiration and knowledge from his preceptor, Vallabha. He accepted the latter's doctrine of Pure-monism (s'uddhādvaita-ygga) totally and did not construct any new philosophical system for himself. Like Vallabha, he believed that the ultimate Reality is one single and it is Kļşņa and He is manifested in all the particular forms of the world by the unique powers of obscuration (tirobhava) and manifestation (āvirbhāva ). Kļşņa is the same as the Brahman and He is the ultimate source, sustainer and absorber of the world. Sūradāsa did not develop elaborately his system. He applied extensively the Lilāvāda (tasate) of Vallabha and depicted poetically the various kinds of sports (lila) of Krsna throughout His life. But he was essentially a poet with a sensitive, unassuming, and unsophisticated heart of a child throughout his life. He has described exhaustively the sportive and playful life of Kịşna without an element of restraint and artificiality. He was never a reformist nor a seeker of knowledge nor did he ever For Private And Personal
