but He is the ultimate Reality itself. He is beyond the three attributes, different from different and nondifferent (dvaitadvaitavilaksana), free from existence, and non-existence, imperceptible, incomprehensible by the usual means of knowledge, but can be understood only by Love or faith for Him. Acarya Ramchandra Shukla has passed very significant remarks about the Saints of the nirguna type. He says that it is futile to search for any particular philosophical system in the writings of these saints. It will mean an exhibition of our ignorance of the philosophical systems if we seek to classify them by charging them to belong to dualism, to monism, or to qualified monism. The differences that appear in them are due to the greater or less degrees of the elements of these systems. Their philosophies are constructed by the combinations of these elements in various degrees. In some of them one may find the predominance of the principle of knowledge of the Vedānta, in some that of the means of penance of the Yogins, in some other that of sweet principle of love (madhura prematattva) of the Süfies, and in still some other that of the earthly devotion of God (being accompanied by the sentiments of agent, father, God, etc. ).' Only a sincerely devoted heart, pure and unsophisticated, free from all other attachments except that for Him, can know Him.?
