Description.- Country paper; Devaņågari characters; old in
appearance ; hand-writing bold, clear, legible and uniform ; borders ruled in two double black linos ; red pigment used for marking the portion ; left-hand edges worn out and moth-eaten; folios numbered from I to 63 in the righthand margins but in the left-hand margins the numbering of folios is from si to 183 which indicates that this Ms. may have formed part of some other Ms.; fol. No. I repeated; the first folios seems to be added later as the hand-writing seems to be different ; yellow pigment used
for corrections ; complete.
. The Upanisad belongs to the black Yajurveda Age.- Samvat 1706. The age of the Ms. is not given at the end
but on fol.63' there are a few lines which faintly give the
Sam. 1706. Begins.-fol. 10
श्रीगणेशाय नमः ॥ वेदपुरुषाय नमः ॥ हरि अम् ।। तच्छयोरावृणीमहे ।। गातुं यज्ञाय ॥ गातुं यज्ञपतये ।। देवी स्वस्तिरस्तु नः ।। स्वस्तिर्मानुषेभ्यः ॥ ऊर्व जि
गाठभेषजं ।। शन्नो अस्तु विपदे ॥ शं चतुष्पदे ॥ etc. Ends.- fol. 63.
पंचपृथिवीशब्दमनोव्यक्तात्मांतरात्मा परमात्मा मे क्षुधेनमयं पंचदशाग्नये स्वाहेकचत्वारि शदों तद्ब्रह्मनवश्रद्धायां प्राणे निविष्टोसृतं जुहोमि चतुर्विशतिः श्रद्धायां दशांगुष्ठमात्र: पुरुषो देवाब-आसन्नष्टो वयः सुपर्णाः प्राणानां ग्रंथिरसि वे नमो रुद्रायेकं त्वमग्ने पुभिहें शिवेन मे संतिष्ठस्व
सत्यं प्राजापत्यस्तस्येवमेकमेकमशीतिः ॥ ७॥
