Description.- Country paper; Devanāgari characters; not very old in appearance; hand-writing clear, legible and correct but not quite uniform throughout; red chalk used for marking; all folios in the Ms are not of uniform size; the Ms contains 108 Upanişads each Upanişad being complete in itself and having a separate pagination; some of the Upanişads seem to have been written by two or three different hands; the Taittiriya, Māntrika and Ekāksara Upanişads are wanting ; a list of all the Upanişads is given in the beginning of the Ms. Išāvāsyopanişad teaches the qualities and characteristics of the supreme being and that Karma and Jñāna alone are not sufficient to lead one to mokşa. Age.- Does not appear to be very old.
