Description - 1 - Country paper; Devanāgari characters; handwriting bad; three lines in red ink on either border; benedictory phrase, topics, names of authorities quoted, marks of punctua - tion tinged with red pigment; paper old, slightly worn out and musty.
Age - Appears to be old.

The codex has neither the introductory verses nor colo phon; we have only the introductory sentence for an authority to name it Dānamanohara, which was composed by Sadasiva son of Paramananda Tripathin (and not Veņi Bhatta as given in Mitra's Cat. of Bikaner Mss., p. 373, No. 803). It was composed under the auspices of Gaudavaṁśatilaka Mahārāja Manoharadāsa, son of Mayātra in Şam. 1735. See Bikaner Cat., referred to above,

सिधि श्रीगणेशाय नमः ॥ अथ दानमनोहर ग्रंथप्रसंग लिक्षते ॥ अथ दाने काल विशेषः
इंदुक्षये शतगुणं सहस्रं तु दिनक्षयेः । शनं तस्य संक्रांतौ शतघ्नं विषुवे ततः ॥ युगादौ तच्छतगुणं भयने तच्छताहतं । सोमदे तच्छतनं तच्छतघ्नं रविग्रहे ॥ etc.
तथा सुवर्नपवित्रेण सुवनही पुनातमां । : यत्कृतं मे सुकायेन मनसा बचसा तथा । दुक्रतं तत्सुवर्ण स्था यातु मुक्तिपरिसुभाः । इति व्रतसहस्रपलदानं संपूर्ण
