The work appears to be a part of Mahārņava-karmavipäka of Visvesvarabhatta. See colophon - इति श्रीमहार्णव चतुर्वेदोक्तपारायणविधिः समाप्तः fol. 10. It begins with the preliminary rituals connected with the study of the Vedas, then special rites for each Veda follow. At the end, a eulogy of this ritual is given.

महं करिष्ये ।। पादप्रक्षालनादि यथोक्तवरणं ॥etc. Ends — fol. 130
गंगा गया कुरुक्षेत्रं प्रयाणं पुष्करं हि तत् तत्फलं प्राप्यते यस्तु अश्विनस्याद्दिने दिने ॥१६॥ तोलयित्वा हेममुक्ता द्वादश संख्यया बुधः । दत्वा यत्फलमानोति मुक्ति(क्ति) प्राप्नोत्यसंशयः ॥ १७॥ ‘लिषितं पंचोलिरामकृष्णः।
