Extent - 145 leaves; 11 lines to a page: 35 letters to a line. Description - Country paper; Devanāgari characters; handwriting
legible; two lines in black ink on each border; benedictory phrase, title of the work, verse numbers and colophons at the end of chapters are tinged with red pigment; paper old, slightly worn out and musty.
The work is really Brhat-Parāśara-samhita, a late work beieg a recast of Paräsarasmrti by Suvrata. It is divided into 12 chapters and contains about 3000 verses, although the last verse says that it contains 3300 verses. For a detailed account about the work see I. O. Cat.
