very good; three rows, one of two lines and the other two of three lines each, in red ink on either border; marks of punctu. ation in red ink; benedictory phrase and topics tinged with red pigment; somebody has erased the samvat of copying.
A treatise on prāyaścittas, composed for Bālakṣşņa by Kāśinātha Upādhyāya alias Bābā Pādhye, son of Ananta and the author of the famous Dharmasindhu.
Age - Appears to be modern. . Author - Kasinātha Upadhyaya. Subject -Dharma.

श्रीगणेशाय नमः ॥ श्रीगोपीजनवल्लभाय नमः॥ मथ प्रायश्चितेंदुशेखरप्रारंभः ।।
बालेंदुशेखरं नत्वा बालबोधाय लिख्यते
बालकृष्णमुदे चापि प्रायश्चित्तेंदुशेखरः ॥१॥ प्रायश्चित्तलक्षणं । यद्यथा विध्यननुष्टानाद्युपचिताशुभनाशकमेव तत्प्राय
श्चित्तम् । etc. Ends - fol. 1230
___ ततो वपनदंतधावनदशविधस्नानपूर्वांगविष्णुश्राद्ध गोदानाज्यहोम पंच. गव्य प्राशनांते यथाचरेदिति ।।
