legible; two lines in red ink on either border; paper old, musty, with top corner of left-hand border destroyed; corrections made with yellow pigment; notes etc. written on the margins.
The work deals with propitiatory rites to be performed if, at the time of garbhādhāna ceremony, the bride menstruates for the first time on an inauspicious day. The author bases his work on Saṁskāranrsimha ( see No. 261 / A-1881-82), Vidhānapārijāta, etc.; it is for the followers of Yajurveda, and the Sāntiprayoga is taught in the Varahasanhitā; after the colophon on fol. 156, there follows the discussion as to the Santiprayoga for the followers of different Vedas and the garbhādhāna ceremony. The author is ehe son of Mayūreśvarabhatta who is styled as Mahāyājñika, and grandson of Naraharibhatta surnamed as Ayācita and residing at Vairājakşetra.
