1884-86 Size - 111 in. by 57 in. Extent – 329 double leaves; 11 lines to a page; 42 letters to a line. Description - Country paper; Devanāgari characters with TEATTIS;
handwriting good; two lines in blaek ink enclosing a thick line in red ink on either border; space about one square inch is left blank in the centre of each page, which contains either a big round mark in red ink ( similar to one on each border) or 4 letters of the text written in the four corners of a rectang le placed diagonalically in the blank space; topics, marks of punctuation and colophons are tinged with red pigment; paper very old, worn out, musty and soiled; many of the leaves are mutilated; foll. 1-185 missing.
The author Vachiya, was the son of Sridhara. The work, which is a fragment here, must have been a large one; it has got 3 chapters on ācāra, vyavahāra and prāyaścitta. The work is mention in Nārāyaṇabhatta's Dharmapravstti. Aufrecht notices only our Ms. in his Catalogus Catalogorum i, 296b. It is different from Nibandhasara described by Haraprasāda Shāstri in his Cat. of Asiatic Society of Bengal, Vol. III, Nos.
