अज्ञानतिमिरांधस्य ज्ञानांजनशलाकया | चक्षुरुन्मीलितं येन तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः ॥ ऐष्टिकै काहिके सम्यक् पद्धतिः कर्कसंमता ॥ विश्वनाथात्मजेनेयं जगन्नाथेन तन्यते ॥ १॥
तानि चैत्रयां वसंते वा ऐकाहिकानि पंचाहिकानि वा पंचापवर्गाणि सप्तापवर्गाणि वा भवंति ॥ etc.

ऐष्टिकैका हिके सम्यक्पद्धतिः कर्कसंमता । श्रीरत्नेश्रर शिष्येण जगनाथेन निर्मिता ॥ २ ॥
प्रीयतां तत्परं तेजोमंडले दक्षिणे क्षणि ॥ हृदि चाधिष्ठितं यन्मे लिखनेन शमत्विति ॥ ३ ॥
