in appearance; handwriting bold but not quite clear ; red pigment used for marking; yellow pigment used for corrections; white chalk also occasionally used ; left hand edges worn out and moth-eaten.
The work gives the date as Saka 1573 i.e. A. D. 1651. But Aufrecht says that this work is quoted in the Nirnayasindhu of Kamalakara, which was composed in A.D. 1612. If Dr. Aufrecht's statement is correct the date of the composition of the present work will have to be regarded as Samvat
1573 and not saka 1573. Age - Samvat 1856. Author - Vasudeva. Subject - A treatise dealing with the Sakuna due to the building of a
house.
