ment. The Ms. is an odd mixture of Sanskrit and Hindi. First four verses are in Sanskrit ; then follow the 18 purifications of quick-silver and other minerals in Hindi till folio 26. From fol. 27 till 32 there is रसविधान in Sanskrit. From fol. 33 starts in Hindi अन्यरससिंदूरधातगातवेधी विधिः. From fol. 35° starts in Sanskrit अथ धात्वादिमारणोपयुक्तान्यप्रकारानाह and the work is broken in the middle. It is a fragment. Amongst the authors and works quoted are भास्कर,. रसप्रदीप and भावप्रकाश. The work seems to have been written by some courtier at the court of Nasir Shah Khalji of Malwa; his date has been fixed by Mr. P. K. नत्वा श्रीभैरवं देवसुधाभिष्टायकं सदा। विघ्नानां शांतये देवि वाणीश्रीविनायक ॥१॥ सुद्धसूतस्य संस्कारा प्रोक्ता वाक्षरसा महत् । एकस्यापि रसारंभो कुर्यान्मासैकपूर्वकं ॥२॥ ब्रह्मचर्य भुविस्वाप हविष्यान्नं च भोजनं। रसो पृष्ठे प्रकुति तपो नष्टि फलं नहि ॥३॥ तपो निष्टो न सिध्यंति तपस्याध्या रसादयः।
