ting bold and legible till folio 7o; from folio 8a till 20', it
is small and less legible ; folio 20 is worn-out. It is a _fragment of द्रव्यावली or द्रव्यावलीसमुच्चय, which is its real name. वैद्यनिघण्टु is a misnomer. Cf. fol. 2', line 3
अनंतपारस्य बिगृह्य किंचित्सारं चिकित्सागमसागरस्य ।
उक्तो मया संप्रबिकल्पयोगात् द्रव्यत्वलीनाम समुच्चयोयं ॥१५॥ Again this very verse is found in the ms. of द्रव्यावली No. 107 on fol. I', lines 2-3. In our ms.
गच्याविरयं वर्गः प्रथमः परिकीर्तितः।
उर्द्धाधोदोषहरणं सर्वामयविनाशगः ॥ इति प्रथमवर्गः is a verse found on fol. 3', lines 2-4 and fol. 19° last line and fol. 20%, ist line. As the geulacht ms. No. 107 ascribes the work to HSS, son Ecot, shall we ascribe our ms. also
to महेन्द्र? Age.- Appears to be old. Author.- Mahendra? Begins.- fol. 10 -:......... श्रीगणेशाय नमः ॥ श्री सरस्वत्यै नमः ॥
नमामि धन्वंतरिमादिदेवं सुरासुरैर्वेदितपादपद्मं । । लोके ज्वरारुक् भयमृत्युनाशं धातारमीशं विविधौषधीनां ॥१॥ अनेकदेशान्तरभाषितेषु सर्वेषु तत्प्राकृतसंस्कृतेषु । गूढेष्वगूढेषु च नास्ति संख्या द्रव्याविधानेषु तथौषधेषु ॥ २ ॥ etc.
