Description.- Country paper; old, grey and musty ; Devanāgari
characters; handwriting small but legible in the beginning (fols. 1-5), fairly bold and clear elsewhere; borders ruled with double red lines; ends of leaves rather stained and brownish; fol. 1 pasted on to a thick paper; beginning and end written in red ink, rest in black; occasional marginal corrections are noted; all the folios are double; verse-beginnings and numbers indicated by red pigment marks; the work is divided into six yuddhas : { [st (fols. 1-98b); 5th (ends fol. 1458); 6th (ends fol. 1778) है.

श्रीरामव्यासाय नमः ॥ नमामि ब्रह्म मोक्षार्थ जिज्ञास्य विश्वकारणं ॥ अन्वयैः शास्त्रसंवेा ईक्षतेवांच्यमेव तत् ॥ १॥ जगद्गुरुं सत्यनिधिं सर्वशास्त्रविशारदं ॥ प्रणमामि सदा भक्तथा दुर्वादिजयकांक्षया ॥२॥ सदा पेये दीक्षितस्य मृधे दुरभिमानिनः ।
पातयामि शिरस्यद्य गुर्वीमभिनवां गदां ॥३॥ स्वकरिष्यमाणपंचाधिकरणीदूषणस्यारंभ प्रथमश्लोकेनाक्षिपति ॥
