Description.-Country paper; Devanagari characters; handwriting good; two rows, each of one line and two lines in red ink, on either border; no marks of punctuation; margins full of supplementary passages; fol. 14 and about 5 lines after the end of the ms. of work contain passages about daksinā bali, etc.; paper old and musty.
Age.— Appears to be old.

A treatise on the ceremony of jalayatra which consists in sacrificer's going along with his wife and priest to a tank or well and there, filling the jars with water, worshipping Varuna and the animals of water. It is a ceremony preliminary to other religious ceremonies. Vaṣiṣṭha is mentioned.
'श्रीगणेशाय नमः ॥ उं अथ जलयात्राविधि वसिष्ट: 1: शांतिकं पौष्टिकं चैव जलयात्रां विना वुधः
कुरुते यदि वा मोहात् कर्म तस्य च निष्फलं ॥ १ तडागादिप्रतिष्टास्तु देवतायतनादिषु ।
लक्षहोमे कोटिहोमे युतहोमे तथैव च ।। etc.
