and musty. 1 The work deals with the ritual of performing śräddha at
Gayā and giving a lamp to the departed manes. It was composed by Prabhākara, as an offering to his departed father Bhūdharadīkşita whom the author praises in 20 verses at the end. The date of composition given is Sam. 1709 (सप्तशते गतेऽधिकमुनी वर्षे समाघे सिते). Bhidhara was the son of Murāri and grandson of Rāmajit. The author's mother Kanakā, was the daughter of Gaņādhipa, son of
