न ब्रह्मयज्ञादधिकोस्ति यज्ञो न तत्प्रदानास्परमस्तिदान ।
सर्वे अंतवंतः क्रतवः सदानां नांतो दृष्टः कैश्चिदस्य द्विजेंद्रैः॥ Comm.- fol. 1210.
कि च । यद्येवं नास्ति तदा कथमेकैकस्य ऋषेदिव्यं वर्षसहस्रमतिथिर्भवतीति अनेनात्मज्ञानं विना स्वाध्यायफलमपि श्रूयते ॥ तस्मानित्यस्वाध्याय इति । गोतमस्मृतेर्यतिनामप्यहरब्रह्मयज्ञः कर्तव्य इति स्थितं ॥
