bad, but legible; paper old, worn out and musty; two lines in black ink on each border; benedictorý phrase and colophons at the end of each chapter tinged with red pigment.
The Ms. contains 22 chapters and the text is a little different from the printed text of the Anandāśrama edi. tion. The name of the scribe has been disfigured with
white powder. Age:- Sam. 1750, Pausa Sukla 2, Wednesday. Author.- Asvalayana. Begins.- fol. 1b.
श्रीगणपतये नमः॥ आश्वलायनमाचार्य नस्वा पृच्छन्मुनीश्वराः द्विजधर्मान् वदास्माकं स्वर्गप्राप्तिकरान्मुने ॥१॥ इति तद्वचनं १( श्रुत्वा सधर्मान् मुनिरब्रवीत्। लोकस्य च हितार्थाय ब्राह्ममार्गरतस्य च ॥२॥ सानं संध्या जपं होमं स्वाध्यायाम्यसनं तथा।
माध्यातिकक्रिया पंच यज्ञानतिथिपूजनं ॥३॥ etc. . . Ends.- fol. 68.
तिस्रः कोटयोऽर्द्धकोटी च पतितीर्थानि संति वै। वैदमध्ये गमिष्यंति पक्षयोरुभयोरपि ॥ १२९॥ वैकुंठे विष्णुपूजायां युगेनैकेन यत्फलं तद्दशंपौर्णमासाभ्यां सकृदाप्नोति वै द्विजः ॥ १२९ ॥ इत्याश्वलायनीयधर्मशाने अमिसंयोगनिर्णयो नाम द्वाविंशतितमोध्यायः ॥ श्रीरस्तु संवत्, १७५० शके १६१५ श्रीमुखान्दे पौषकृष्णद्वितीया बुधे तहिने......खितामयं आश्वलायनस्मृतिः समाताm॥ श्रीमल्लारये नमः॥
