A. D. 1916. In this edition, the editors Pandit Sivadatta and Pandit Vasudeva Lakşmaņa Sastri Panasikar have on pp. 1516 treated a passage of six rhyrming couplets or 12 lines each of which is formed of four feet of five mātrās, as prose. Dr.A. Venkaetasubbiah informs us in his article "Some rare metres in Sanskrit" (published in the Jr.of Or. Res. Madras, Jan.-Mar, 1935, pp. 45-58 ) that this is a medical composition, Its metre is named as Lalita-ragale by Kannada writers and as Dviradagati-ragada by Telugu writers. He further observes that Somadeva gives on pp. 181, 189 op. cit two verses which he calls Ghatta and thus differs from the author of Prāksta Paingala. Furthermore, Somadeva has called two verses Catuşpadi and twentysix other verses, exactly similar to them, Paddhatika.
The following words etc. of Yaśastilaka are referred to by Prin. K. K. Handiqui M. A. in his 'vcoabulary' to his English translation of “ The Naisadhacarita", while compar. ing the corresponding words from the latter :Yaśastilaka
