1884-87. Size.--7% in. by 2 in. Extent.-18 leaves ; 8 lines to a page; 21 letters to a line. Description.--Country paper; Devanagari characters with पृष्ठमात्रा;
hand-writing old style, very difficult to read; two lines in black ink on each margin; benedictory phrase, versenumbers, border-lines and the colophon are tinged with red pigment; paper is very old, worn out and musty. The writing on the last page is so much worn out that it is difficult to read it..
This forms part of Jñanakanda from Mohacaura. It deals with the worship of goddess Ekasakti or Durgā. After the end of the work on fol. 17.5 verses in praise of Kali are appended to by the scribe from some other
work. Age.--Samvat 1452. Author.-Anonymous. Begins.- fol. 10
.. डों नमः श्रीचंडिकायै ।। ऐं हीं श्रीं परमैकशक्तये नमः ।। श्रीदेव्युवाच॥
कथं देविस्वमुत्पन्नः कचिभेदाश्च ते स्मृताः। कीहशास्तेऽवतारश्च न वेनि परमेश्वरः॥१॥ नात्मानं वेदम्यहं स्वामिबुत्पत्तिर्मम कीहशीः। कति भेदाः कथं जाताः किमर्थ बहुधाप्यहं ॥२॥ ये जाता ये भविष्यंति मूर्तयश्वावतारकाः।
एतत्कथय मे सर्वे यदि तुष्टोऽसि शंकर ॥३॥etc. Ends.- fol. 17
