ing irregular, but legible; benedictory phrase, verse numbers, important passages and the colophon are tinged with red pigment; paper is old, musty and brittle.
• The work deals with the ritual and procedure of reciting the candi hymn or saptašati and is taken from Varahitantra, the last (8th) chapter of which deals with Candistotra, etc. But the verses in beginning are identical with those of Candi-stotraprayog avidhi of Nāgoji Bhatta

श्रीगणेशाय नमः ॥ तंत्रसारकन्कृते प्रयोगसारे वाराहीतंत्रे ।। संस्कृत्य भूमि संस्थाप्य कलशं तीर्थवारिणा ॥ पूरापिस्वा स्वर्णगर्म क्षिपेत्पंचामृतं ततः ॥ १॥ धर्मकामः क्षिपेद्भस्म धनकामस्तु मौक्तिकम् ॥ श्रीकामः कमलं न्यस्येस्कामार्थे रोचनां न्यसेत् ॥२॥ मोक्षकामो न्यसेनं जयकामो पराजितां ॥
उचाटनाथें व्याघ्री च पश्याथै शिखिमूलिकाम् ॥३॥
व्याधी भाषया करेरुवा इत्युच्यते ॥ etc. Ends.-- fol. 35.
केचितु॥ एकादशााहुतयो द्वादशश्लोकमंत्रकाः ॥ उवाच बचनैः पद्धिमत्रास्ते उक्तसंज्ञकाः ॥ ५६ ॥
इत्याहुस्तत्र कात्यायनीतंत्रविरोधः स्पष्टयेवेति दिक ॥ इति वाराहीतंत्रे सप्तशत्याविधानं समाप्तम् ॥ १॥ शुभं भवतु ॥ इदं पुस्तकं जीवनरामद्विवेदिनां ।। संवत १८४४ माघकृष्ण १० धगी शोधितं द्विवेदी जीवनरायेण ।।
