Extent. 47 folios; 14 lines to a page; 50 letters to a line. Description. Country paper somewhat thick, tough and white; Jaina Devanagari characters; sufficiently big, quite legible, fairly uniform and very good hand-writing; borders ruled in two lines in black ink ; same is the case with edges; red chalk used; foll. numbered in the right-hand margin; 10 fol. 1 blank; so is the fol. 47; the first line and dandas for the verses written in red ink; yellow pigment used while making corrections; complete; composed in Samvat 1772 or 1774 in 'Sendampura ( Saiyadpură) near Surat; condition very good.

Aśokacandra-Rohiņi-rāsa
Nayavimala alias Jñānavimala Suri, pupil of Dhiravimala. This Sūri was born in V. S. 1694. His father's name was Vasava and that of his mother Kanakāvati. He was named as Nathumala. He took dikşa in V. S. 1702 and was named as Nayavimaia. His vidyagurus were Amṛtavimala Gani and Meruvimala Gani. He was given the title of "pandita" in V. S. 1727 and was made "Süri " in V. S. 1748 (1749). He was then named as Jñānavimala Suri. He died in Cambay at the age of 88 in 25V. S. 1782.2
