Thakur Chiddu Singh (59 mss), Shankar Lalji (104 mss). Pyare Lalji Sharma (5 mss), Amarnathji Saraswat (166 mss). Pt Shiv Dattaji who resided in the Hazari Moballa had some 500 manuscripts. He had kindly agreed to donate the entire lot but his uptimely death gave a jolt and we could get only a negligible number of manuscripts from his son Pt. Shyam Lalji. We hope he will soon take a decision for the remaining number. The Trustees of the Sridhar Sanskrit Vidyalaya, Brahmapuri, Jaipur also epriched the Alwar collection by handing over more than 500 Journals.
The list however does not end here. Other manuscript donors include Sarvashri Goverdhan Lalji, Mahavir Prasad Kulshrestha, Daulat Ram Parikh Mahesh Chandra Saraswat (donated by his widow), Durga Prasad, Nawal Kishore Sharma, Piyush Kant Vasistha, Mahabir Prasad Gupta, Sri Gunesh. Harumal Tolani and Sriman Narayan, although their manuscripts do not figure in the present volume. We greatly appreciate and acknowledge with thanks the largebeartdeness shown by the donors. The number donated matters little but the vision shown by them in preserving them at a public place deserves the fullest appreciation.
The present volume covers 5985 entries, dealing with manuscripts in Sanskrit and Prakrit upto accession no. 6295 Extracts from some selected manuscripts may help scholars in ascertaining the variety deposited here.
