The work was compiled during the reign of Akbar (A.D.1556-1578); an excellent and richly illustrated copy of an otherwise unknown history of Timur and his successors down to Akbar (up to his 22nd year); a unique and rare work; only known copy.
132 illustrations by the court painters of Akbar. The names include Läl, Madhu, Basäwan, Kesü, Daswanth, Rämdäs, Tulsi, Shankar, Husain, Muhammad Kashmiri, Farrukh, Kamal, Bhagwan, Anant, Bahzād, Manohar and others.
Many official seals of the nobles of the Mughal courts and an autograph of Shahjahan embellish this copy.
