1884-87 Size — 104 in. by 5 in. Extent - 279 + 1 = 280 folios; 9 lines to a page ; 23 letters to a line. Description-Country paper thick, tough and white; Devanagari
characters; fat, big, clear and good hand-writing; borders ruled in two lines and edges in one, in red ink; corners of the 1st and 33rd foll. slightly worn out; yellow pigment used; fol. 128th repeated; the sections in which the work is divided are variously named as सर्ग, अध्याय and पर्व; mostly, of course, as सर्ग. In the colophons at the end of the cantos 14 and 15, the work is entitled as चद्रप्रभपुराण; foll. la and 279b blank; 27 Cantos, Granthagra 4050.
Age - Pretty old.
Author - Dāmodara, successor of Bhūsaņa, successor of Mandala Sūri.

Subject - Life of Lord Candraprabha (the 8th Tirthamkara narrated
in Samskrta poetry. Begins - fol. 10
॥ ॐ नमः सिद्धं ॥ श्रीसरस्वत्यै नमः। श्रियं चंद्रप्रभो नित्यां चंद्रदश्चंद्रलांछनः । भव्यकुमुदचंद्रो वश्चंद्रप्रभो जिन: क्रियात् ॥१॥ कुशाशनवचो ब्रूडज(ज)गत्तारणहेतवे। तेन स्ववाक्यसूरो ( यो )धर्मपोतः प्रकाशितः ॥ २ ॥ युगादौ येन तीर्थेशा(शो )धर्मतीर्थः प्रवर्तितः ।
तमहं वृषभं वंदे वृषदं वृषनायकं ॥३॥ fol. 10a इति श्रीमंडलसूरि-श्रीभूषण तत्पट्टगच्छेश(शिष्य )कविदामोदरविरचिते
श्रीचंद्रप्रभविरचिते पीठिकावर्णनं नाम प्रथमः सर्गः॥१॥ etc. Ends --- fol. 279b
