Subject - A story showing the importance of a vow named as
Aksayanidhi.' This vow lasts for ten years. Every year a fast is to be observed on the 10th day of the bright half of Srāvana and on the 10th day of the dark half of Bhadrapada too. During the interval of 28 days, ekāsana is to be observed on every day of this interval. Namaskāramantra should be daily recited thrice.l
This vow was observed by the king Meghanāda in
Rājagshi. (See Jainaratnakośa pp. 83-84). Begins - fol. 15b
अथ अक्षयनिधिविधानकथा लिख्यते ।। श्रीमजिनेंद्रमानम्य । भव्यलोकसुखप्रदं ।
अक्षयनिधिं वक्ष्ये । पुत्रपौत्रफलप्रदां ॥१॥ etc. Ends - fol.714
एवमन्योपि यथोक्तयः समाचरिष्यति । आत्मनः व्रतं करोति । अन्यभ्यापि कारयति । स तादृशं फलं लभ्यते ।। एवं अक्षयनिधिविधांन समाप्तं ॥५॥
