The Svetāmbara Works
Author - Vardhamāna Sūri, pupil of Vijayasimha Sūri of the Nāge
ndra' Gaccha. Subject - Life of Lord Vásupūjya, the 12th Tirthamkara of the
Jainas of the present avasarpiņi; composed in sanskrit at the request of Ahlādana. It describes his previous births too. Incidentally 29 stories are given in this work. There are substories, too. The last two cantos furnish us with social customs etc.

मत्ये पतिर्दध्या नृपोऽयं भुजदुर्मदः ।
ततस्तन्वविदाकृद्भिरुपहास्यं वदत्यदः ॥ ५५ ॥ etc. Ends -- fol. 970
क्षेत्रेषु सप्तसु वपन्नयसंचितं स्वं । श्रीवासुपूज्यचरितद्राविणव्ययेन । मालाह्वयोऽमलमलीलिखदात्मपुत्रवामादिमंगलकृते श्रुतभक्तियुक्तः ॥ 'महापुरे' देवकुलाभिधाने निधानतर्काब्धिमही १४६९ प्रमाणे । संवत्सरे लेखितपुस्तकोऽयं जीयाञ्चिरं कोविदवाच्यमानः ॥ छ ।
