PREFACE
It gives me great pleasure to place before the scholars the IVth volume of the catalogue of the Sanskrit and Prakrit manuscripts available at the Head Office of the Rajasthan Oriental Research Institute. The pattern of this volume is almost the same as has been laid down by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. In all 3250 manuscripts as accessioned from serial number 18238 to 22145 have been covered in this volume. In order to meet the curiosity and need of the scholars sitting at a distance, extracts from some important manuscripts have been given at the end of the volume so that they may form a broad idea of the collection.
The work on this catalogue was partly got completed by the Late Muni Shri Jinvijayji who as the Founder Director of the Institute, had done a great service to the Institute and Indological studies.
My thanks aie due to Sarvashri L. N. Goswami, D. N. Chaturvedi. D. B. Kshirsagar and Girdhar Vallabh Dadhich who worked devotedly in pre. paring the index, appendices, proof-reading etc. Here, I would also like to thank the Manager, Sadhana Press, Jodhpur for taking personal interest in the printing work of this volume.
