Upabhogantaraya
A sub-type of obstructive Karma,
due to the Udaya (rise) of which a person cannot use the re-consumables, inspite of having access to them.
strivastraśayanā"sanabhojanādirupo bhogaḥ. punah punarupabhujyate hi saḥ......sa sambhavannapi yasya karmaya udayanna paribhujyate tat karma upabhogāntarāyākhyam.

Upayukta
One whose Citta (psyche or consciousness) is absolutely concentrated in the work in hand. upayuktasca bhavato dattavadhanah.

Upayoga
Consciousness-The activity of sentience, in the form of knowing and intuiting. cetanavyāpāraḥ upayogaḥ.

Upayogaätmä
That state of the soul, in which it is occupied in the activity of knowledge and intuition. säkäränäkärabhedastatpradhana atma upayo(Bhaga 12.200 Vr)

the activity of sentience (consciousness) for sensing the sensory object.

Uparamaanityata
A type of transience:

Upavāsa
1. Non-indulgence in sensual pleasures-To refrain from the keenness in the objects of five sense-organs, such as sound and the like. 2. Upasama
Subsidence-A type of Karmakarana (spi-ritual energy quâ transformation of Karma):
to inhibit both the types of Udaya (rise) of Mohaniya (deluding) Karma viz., Vipäkodaya (rise quâ fruition) as well as Pradeśodaya (innocuous realization of the karmic matter). To render the (Mohaniya (deluding)) Karma unfit for Udaya (rise). Udirana (premature rise). Nidhatti (the process which makes the Karma incapable of application of all the Karmakarana (spiritual energy quâ transformation of Karma) except Udvartana (augmentation) and Apavartana (attenuation) and Nikäcana (the condition which renders such karmic matter incapable of all the Karmakaranas).
