Mahävira refers Sāya-vadins to have been sensualists in the Sthänånga sütra-The Uttaradhyayana sütra has reference to curative spells. The Sūtrakstānga mentions men who practise incantations (atharvani) and conjuring, the art to make one happy or miserable.
