1 . The ideal example of Lard Mahāvīra served as a beacon light for the Jaina poets in Karnāțaka. Because they also shared the same conviction of using the regional languages as the medium of expression. and writing for the cominon masses. Further the Jaina poets contributed a great deal in enriching the variety of literature in Karnāțaka. It is because of their efforts, the people of Karnāțaka recognise Jaina's contribution to the development of Kannada language and literature.
