Recently a small hymn of 8 Prakrit verses, entitled 'Gommatesa-thudi' by Nemicandra Siddhānta-Cakravarti has been published in some books and magazines. There is nothing in the poem to indicate its authorship. If it is proved beyond doubt that its author was that guru, as claimed, the credit of giving the name Gommatesa to the Bahubali image would also go to
