Mrs. Mary Woolner writes to me 'I regret Mr. Woolner vras unable, through serious illness, to contribute an anticipated article to your forthcoming volume. .....! & lastly dels 'I could like to wish the Jaina Studies at The Punjab University and other centres, where they are followed, every possible success. Instead of herself writing about the Docton, she directed Barrsi Dasji his past student & Colleague to ilo se & the result wus this short article. The cruel hand of Death snatched away last month from the Punjab one of her foremost and ablest educationist, Dr. A. C. Woolner, M. A., D. Litt., C. I. E., F. A. S. B., Officer, Acadamic francais. At the time of the sad occurrence he was the Vice-chancellor of the Punjab University and Principal, Oriental College, Lahore. The latter office he continuously held for the last thirty-three years.
