I am glad, the Jain Community belonging to Digambar Faith is felicitating Acharya Ratna Shri Deshbhushan Ji Maharaj on completion of his 51 years of dedicated spiritual service and a commemorative volume is being published on the occasion Deshbhushan Ji Maharaj is an outstanding spiritual and religious leader gifted with the rare quality of pious, austere and righteous life. A crusader against social evils and religious superstitions, the Acharya has devoted his entire life to the cause of national unity, religious tolerance, spiritual and moral regeneration of the society. I am extremely happy to know that the Jain community of India proposes to bring out a special volume entitled 'Aastha evam Chintana' for being presented to Acharyaratna Shri Deshabhushanaji Maharaj on the occasion of completion of 51 years of his spiritual crusade. Countless men are born in this planet of ours and pass away in course of time but very few succeed in creating a lasting impact on the society or leaving foot prints on the sands of time'. Acharyaratna belongs to that rare category of elevated souls who are totally dedicated to the well being of humanity at large and their spiritual development and, what is more, they transmute the traditional values into the practical idiom of today The 51 dedicated years of his life during which the Acharyaratna relentlessly fought against social evils, carried on a tirade against religious superstitions and worked for peace and amity among people, constituie a unique record of selfless service which will undoubtedly inspire the present as well as the coming generations. Such a great personality transcends religious and geographical boundaries and commands reverence from people irrespective of caste, creed, language and State. The proposed compilation will be a fitting tribute to this saintly and dedicated soul. While paying my respectful regards to Acharyaratna Shri Deshabhushanaji Maharaj, I wish the venture of the Felicitation Volume Committee all success.
