(173) An alternative - and better attested (because quoted by Yaso. vijaya in the Dratrimsaddvatrimsika 24. 19)-reading for tallaksananiyo. gatah' is 'dhyānajam tālluikanı sukhanı'; in that case the later half of the verse will mean: 'hence this pleasure is in fact but pain while real pleasure is that born of meditative coucentration'.
