Remarks.
Explanation. Of the total number of karma prakritis there is a potential possibility of only 143 in this gunasthana, though the full number is shown in column 3 for facility of calculation. The remaining five which are absent in this stage
are :
1. Tirthamkara prakriti (141),
2. Aharaka sarira (60),
3. Aharaka angopanga (65),
4. Samyaga mithyātva (18), and
5. Samyaktva prakriti (19).
The explanation of their absence is to be found in the fact that the Tirthamkara prakriti is engendered by those alone who seeing a Tirthamkara* are moved by the desire to become like Him, while aharaka karira and aharaka angopanga are

* The tirthamkara prakriti is also forged in the presence of a kevali or śruta kevali. The kevali is an omniscient man though not a Tirthamkara; and the śruta kevali is the all-knowing being whose comprehensive knowledge is derived from the word of an Omniscient Lord.
