CHAPTER X ALL-PURE KNOWLEDGE
Now enters All Pure Knowledge That the Self, from the real point of view, is not the doer of karmas, is explained below
दविय ज उप्पज्जइ गुणेहि त तेहि जाणसु अणण्ण ।
जह कडयादीहि दु पज्जएहि कणय अणण्णमिह ॥३०८॥ Daviyam jam uppajjayı gunehim tam tehim jānasu anannam Jaha kadhayadıhım du pajjayehim kaņayam anannamıha (308)
द्रव्य यदुत्पद्यते गुणैस्तत्तैर्जानीह्यनन्यत् ।
यथा कटकादिभिस्तु पर्यायै कनकमनन्यदिह ॥३०८॥ 308 Whatever is produced from a substance, has the same attributes as those of the substance Know ye certainly they cannot be different, just as bangles, etc made of gold cannot be other than gold
जीवस्साजीवस्स दु जे परिणामा दु देसिया सुत्ते ।
त जीवमजीव वा तेहिमणण्ण वियाणाहि ॥३०९।। Jivassā jīvassadu je parinănā du desiyā sutte Tam jīvamajivam vā tehi manannam viyānāhi (309)
जीवस्याजीवस्य तु ये परिणामास्तु दर्शिता सूत्रे ।
त जीवमजीव वा तैरनन्य विजानीहि ॥३०९।। 309 Whatever modifications of the Self and the non-Self are described in the Scriptures, know ye that these modifications are identical in nature with the Self and non-Self respectively and not different
ण कदोवि विउप्पण्णो जम्हा कज्ज ण तेण सो आदा ।
उप्पादेदि ण किचिवि कारणमवि तेण ण स होइ ॥१०॥ Na kuyochi vuppanno jamhā kajjam na tena so ādā Uppadedi na kimchivi karanamavi tena na sa hoyi (310)
न कुतश्चिदप्युत्पन्नो यस्मात्कार्य न तेन स आत्मा ।
उत्पादयति न किञ्चिदपि कारणमपि तेन न स भवति ॥३१०॥ 310. The Self is not an effect because it is not produced
