ण सय बद्धो कम्मे ण सय परिणमदि कोहमादीहि ।
जदि एस तुज्झ जीवो अप्परिणामी तदा होदि ॥१२१॥ Na sayambaddho kamme nasayam parinamadı kohamādıhım Jadı esa tujjha jivo apparinamī tada hodi
(121) न स्वय बद्ध कर्मणि न स्वय परिणमते क्रोधादिभि ।
यद्येष तव जीवोऽपरिणामी तदा भवति ॥१२१॥ ___121 If according to your view the Self by himself is not bound by karmas and does not have emotional modifications such as anger, etc, then he must by nature remain non-mantfesting
The next gātha says what is wrong if the Self remains incapable of manifestation
अपरिणमतेहि सय जीवे कोहादिएहि भावेहि ।
ससारस्स अभावो पसज्जदे सखसमओ वा ॥१२२।। Aparinamamtamhı sayam jive kohadı eht bhayehim Samsarassa abhavo pasajjade sankhasamayo va (122)
अपरिणममाने हि स्वय जीवे क्रोधादिभि भावै ।
ससारस्याभाव प्रसजति साख्यसमयो वा ॥१२२॥ 122 If the Self does not of his own accord undergo emotional modifications such as anger, then empirical life or samsāra will cease to be This would result in the Sānkhya view
पोग्गलकम्म कोहो जीव परिणामएदि कोहत्त ।।
त सयमपरिणमत कह णु परिणामयदि कोहो ॥१२३॥ Poggala kammam koho jivam parinamayedi kohattam Tam sayamaparinamantam kahamnu parinamayedi koho (123)
पुद्गलकर्म क्रोधो जीव परिणामयति क्रोधत्वम् ।
त स्वयमपरिणमन्त कथ नु परिणामयति क्रोध ॥१२३॥ 123 If you maintain that it is karmic matter, by its own potency, that causes in the Self emotional modifications such as anger, then how is it possible for matter to produce any modification in the Self which is by nature incapable of manifestation
अह सयमप्पा परिणमदि कोहभावेण एस दे बुद्धी ।
कोहो परिणामयदे जीव कोहो तमिदि मिच्छा ॥१२४॥ Aha sayamappa parinamadı koha bhavena esa de buddhi Koho parinamayade jivam koha tta midi michcha (124)
