types and no (karmc) manifestations ( resulting in pleasure-pain
experience)
जीवस्स णत्थि केई जोग्गट्टाणा ण बधठाणा वा । व य उदयद्वाणा णो मग्गणद्वाणया केई ॥५३॥ Jivassa natthi kei jogatthänä na bandhathānā vā Neva ya udayatthānā no magganā tthānayā kei
(53) जीवस्य न सन्ति कानिचिद्योगस्थानानि ण बन्धस्थानानि वा । नैव चोदयस्थानानि न मार्गणास्थानानि कानिचित् ॥ ५३ ॥

In the (pure) soul there is no activity of yoga (through manas, vachana, kaya), no (karmic bondage), no effective manifestation of karma, and no variations according to method of inquiry into the nature of the soul (based upon the principle of classification)
णो ठिदिबधद्वाणा जीवस्स ण सकिलेसट्टाणा वा । व विसोहिद्वाणा णो सजमलद्धिठाणा वा ॥ ५४॥ No thidi bandhatthānā jivassa na samkilesathānā vā Neva visohitthānā no sanjamaladdhithānā vā

नो स्थितिबन्धस्थानानि जीवस्य न सक्लेशस्थानानि वा । नैव विशुद्धिस्थानानि नो सयमलब्धिस्थानानि वा ॥ ५४ ॥
54 In the (pure) soul there is no stage of the duration of bondage, or of emotional excitement or of self purification or of the acquisition of self-control
व य जीवद्वाणा ण गुणट्ठाणा य अत्थि जीवस्स । जेण दु एदे सव्वे पोग्गलदव्वस्स परिणामा ॥५५॥ Neva ya Jivatthānā na gunatthānā ya atthi jivassa Jena du ede savve poggaladavvassa parināmā

नैव च जीवस्थानानि न गुणस्थानानि वा सन्ति जीवस्य । येन तु एते सर्वे पुद्गलद्रव्यस्य परिणामा ॥५५॥
55 The classification of the organic beings (according to the principle of biological development) and the classification of man (according to the principle of ethico- spiritual development) are not applicable to the pure soul, since all the above-mentioned differences are the result of the manifestation of the material
