Sri Kundakunda Kahan Digambara Jaina Tirtha Suraksa Trust has the great pleasure in presenting the English version of Dr. Hukumchand Bharill's popular Hindi work entitled 'Tirthankar Mahāvir aur Unka Sarvodaya Tirtha' on the occasion of the 1000th annivery of Sri 1008 Bhagavan Bahuvali
The important decision to found the said Trust was taken on the occasion of the pancakalyanaka celebrations for the Sri Mahavira Kundakunda Paramagama Temple at Songad on the great occasion of the 2500th Nirvana Anniversary of Bhagavan Mahavira under the inspiring guidance and auspicions blessings of the late revered Gurudeva Sri Kanji Swami.
The said Trust has made a place for itself in the Digambara Jaina community within a short period of five years. By the blessing of the revered Gurudeva, this Trust has received the unqualified support of the entire Digambara Jaina Community in general and of people covetous of liberation in particular, so that it was decided to collect a sum of Rs. 1,00,00,000 and the work is steadily progressing Already promises have been received for Rs 75,00,000 and it is expected that the target will soon be reached.
The main object of this Trust is not only to protect the Digambara Jaina holy places from natural and nonnatural calamities, but also to protect the words of the Jinas which are like living holy places; to organise research and study and to prepare scholars who may become specialists in the Jaina texts.
In this connection, the activities organised by the Trust have been given later in this note.
