in eating them, determined to to like them, and presently they are fond of them. They have changed their disliking into liking. How is the change of taste brought about? By the action. of Will, directed by the mind.
THE MASTERY OF DESIRE
We can change desires by thought. The desire-nature with which we are born is good, bad, or indifferent, and it follows its own way in early childhood. Presently we examine it, and mark some desires as useful, others as useless or even noxious. We then form a mental image of the desirenature which would be useful and noble, and we deliberately set to work to create it by thought-power. There are some physical desires which we see will bring about disease if left uncontrolled eating too much, because of the gratification of the palate;
