48 A STUDY IN KARMA of affecting that outside world is Activity. This action is inevitably followed by a re-action from the outside world-karma. The inner cause of the re-action is Will; the nature of the re-action is due to Cognition; the immediate provoker of the re-action is Activity. These spin the three threads of the karmic rope.
THE THREE FATES
“God created man in His own image," says a Hebrew Scripture, and the trinities of the great religions are the symbols of the three aspects of the divine consciousness, reflected in the triplicity of the human.
