As a blind person is unable to see the outward objects, likewise if one has not abandoned his outward objects of attachment he is incapable of acquiring supreme type of concentration. Ignoble thoughts haunt the mind of one, who has external things. One can humbly ask, Holy sir, if you have no love or real affection for the object in your possession, why do you waste your precious time and energy towards the upkeep of those things and you glorify the docturine of possessionlessness? In this respect this directive of Tatvanushashna is very significant.
संगत्यागः कषायाणां निग्रहो व्रत धारणम् ।
